There are many different mental illnesses. They are more common than you might think. Every second person suffers from a mental disorder once in their life. Fortunately, mental illnesses are treatable and in most cases treatment will result in recovery.

  • Addiction disorders

    Addiction or addiction disorders are also counted among the mental illnesses and are common. Both substances (especially alcohol, illegal drugs and tobacco) and behaviors (e.g. gambling) can be addictive. The way out of an addiction is not easy, but in many cases it is possible.

  • Fears, phobias, panic and compulsion

    We all know fears. Fears are an old evolutionary legacy that warns us of dangers and thereby ensures our survival. Sometimes fears can take on a life of their own and develop into an anxiety disorder.

  • Stress disorder, trauma

    Post-traumatic stress disorder or post-traumatic stress disorder can occur when someone has experienced or observed a very stressful experience or an extraordinary threat. This disease is one of the anxiety disorders.
