What are the benefits of dermarolling
What is microneedling and what is it used for?
Micro needling is a procedure that is used for aesthetic skin problems. It is not only effective against wrinkles, stretch marks and scars, but also, for example, against acne and large pores.
How does microneedling work?
There are different microneedling methods. On the one hand with one Dermaroller, on the other hand with one Microneedling pen.
A dermaroller is a small roller that is equipped with fine needles and pierces the skin with them. However, since a dermaroller is rolled over the skin, the needle not only pierces the skin, but also tears the skin open! This can lead to serious injury to the skin. Inadequate disinfection leads to severe inflammation. We therefore strongly advise against it! Always find out in advance which method the cosmetic studio works with.
We work with yours in our cosmetic lounges Derma pen. This is a needle cartridge which precisely pierces the skin at a 90 degree angle. The skin is not torn open, but rather it is precisely pierced into the skin pores. In addition, the needle depth can be individually adjusted with this device for every need.
The treatment with the fine needles causes irritation of the cells during microneedling, which promotes regeneration of the skin and stimulates blood circulation. The cells renew themselves and the body's own collagen is formed. The first successes are already visible after a short time. The final result, however, takes a few weeks. After all, the tissue doesn't renew itself overnight! The more serious the wrinkles, scars, etc., the longer it takes for the first results to become visible. Such a treatment should then be repeated correspondingly often.
What are the advantages of microneedling?
As just mentioned, the regeneration and blood circulation of the skin is stimulated. Not only collagen but also hyoluronic acid is newly formed. Another advantage of the microneedling treatment is that the pores are refined and the skin is tightened. This makes the skin appear smoother and fuller.
In the case of existing scars, for example caused by acne, the collagen fills the area of the scar again. Thus, the scars get smaller and smaller and the complexion improves.
Microneedling is growing rapidly in popularity and of course there is a reason for that. Most other treatments for wrinkles, scars or other skin problems make the skin thinner. For example with laser treatments. This has a major disadvantage, as thin skin is more sensitive to external influences. Too much sun can cause unsightly stains. With microneedling, on the other hand, the thickness of the skin is retained and is not removed. Thus, the protection against environmental influences remains, which offers a great advantage.
In addition, no artificial substances have to be injected with micro needling. The skin regenerates itself. Care substances can, however, be better absorbed during the treatment and thus have a more intensive effect.
Who is microneedling suitable for?
Treatment is recommended for many types of problem skin. If you have your skin problem or want to look younger and fresher. Mostly the face, neck and décolleté are treated. Microneedling is also suitable for the thighs, buttocks, chest and even the scalp.
Particularly good results are achieved in the following areas of application:
- Scars (acne scars, surgical scars, burn scars, etc.)
- Pigment disorders
- Stretch marks / stretch marks
- Scalp problems and hair loss
If you have active acne and very sensitive skin, you should definitely seek advice from a beautician beforehand. In acne, the bacteria can spread all over the face, which would make the condition worse.
How often should microneedling be used?
There is no clear answer to this question. It depends not only on the area of application but also on the severity of the skin problem. The smaller the skin problem, the shorter the needle length. The more often you can consider a micro needling treatment. The faster you will be with your desired result. The more serious the skin problem, the longer the needle length should be chosen. The more time the skin needs to regenerate and the more often you need treatment.
What are the risks of the application?
Microneedling should be used by a professional because it involves surgery with needles. Laypeople can quickly make mistakes through incorrect handling and risk inflammation. That's why we recommend one professional beautician to seek out who has experience in this area. In this case, the treatment harbors no dangers.
