What recipe makes the best fried clams

Golden brown fried scallops

Scallops (French: Coquilles St. Jacques) come from France or Scotland and have a very tasty, slightly sweet-nutty meat with a high vitamin B content12, Iron and zinc. The trace element zinc, which here covers half the daily requirement per serving, fulfills numerous important metabolic tasks in the body.

To eat full, serve some fresh baguette with the scallops (ideally wholemeal baguette) in proper style. A mixed leaf salad with cherry tomatoes, dressed with a vinaigrette made from white wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, a little honey and olive oil is a good accompaniment.
