How many developers are on Atlassian

Jira for the whole company, not just the developers

Atlassian describes the latest update of its project management software as Jira Work Management. If Jira originally came from the developer area, all departments in companies should now work with the application.

In principle, the functions correspond to the existing Jira features, but the developers have adapted the names - they are now kept more general and are no longer based on developer concepts. Above all, Atlassian is introducing over 20 ready-made project templates that are designed to meet the needs of different departments. Since the work management is based on the existing Jira environment, managers should combine the information from the various teams and thus be able to have a complete overview of projects.

DevOps directly in Jira

Atlassian is also introducing Open DevOps. This is a toolchain for software developers that integrates its own applications such as Confluence and Opsgenie, but also third-party tools such as GitLab and GitHub. In addition, the provider is transferring the low- and no-code tool ProForma to Jira Service Management. With the software, the support should automate processes and thus be able to process service requests more quickly. ProForma comes from the takeover of the original developer ThinkTilt.

All information about the updates can be found in the blog entries on Jira Work Management and Open DevOps. Atlassian announced it as part of its in-house exhibition Team '21, which is currently taking place.
