Design transitions constructively

The design of the transition between school mathematics and university mathematics is a permanent challenge that the actors involved have to face again and again. In order to be able to deal with this constructively, theoretical considerations, new didactic approaches and their conceptual backgrounds, tried and tested “best practice” examples and empirical studies from different perspectives are presented in this anthology. Experts from the fields of specialist mathematics, didactics and schools provide insights into challenges and university didactic concepts. Different target groups are taken into account: Students of mathematics, mathematics teachers and engineering and natural science subjects, each with their own needs. The large number of contributions enables an inventory of the current state of the Germany-wide discussion on the transition topic and invites you to adopt good practical ideas in your own teaching.
