Fish know that they shouldn't eat bait

The fish must like the bait, not the angler.

(about old and new strategies in online marketing)

Lately, fish have become less and less interested in bait. You'd think the fish was full. The fish's attention to daily information consumption continues to decline. The fish even seem to completely ignore particularly conspicuously designed bait. The arms race is entering a new round. Fortunately, a few skilled anglers have come up with new high-tech baits to solve the problem. Here are five tips for more fishing fun 🙂

  1. Just throw more bait in the water

It is obvious: if the fish bite less well, we simply have to throw more bait into the water. In the same breath, this is good for the domestic bait industry - which is happy to thank customers at the annual leading bait trade fair, KMEXCO, in the form of brightly colored exhibition stands and lightly clad hostesses.
  2. Use more noticeable bait

“This bait simply lays itself over the fish's natural diet. He can practically no longer avoid the bait. ”Those who like it more powerful rely on modern bait shapes. Without the consumption of bait, the fish will simply not be able to see its video - it has to take a bite. First doubts about this form arise. There should be fish that completely avoid places with such bait ...
  3. Invest in intelligent behavioral or re-targeting bait

Since fish are more and more often not biting, there are now intelligent baits. They remember where the fish swims along and independently develop a strategy of where they should best ambush the fish. The most advanced of these modern wonder weapons wait for an unnoticed moment and still wait for the fish days later. “Our ponds talk to each other. We almost know every single fish personally! "Says a CEO of a large fishing area. Many anglers are simply enthusiastic about so much high-tech ..." I love the XC9000 bait. Nothing else is out of the question for us! ”Says the marketing director of a well-known fishing empire.

  4. Test all combinations of baits fully automatically

Luckily, measuring bait effectiveness is now widespread. This prevents inefficient baits from being used. Some tinkerers have succeeded in developing bait that finds the best of all bait combinations (e.g. yellow-red-blue with a feather or green-black-green with a worm). It is quite astonishing: Compared to the badly running black worm imitation, a combination of red-black bait with pink worm was able to achieve an improvement of 500%.

  5. Email the fish to please eat the bait

“If the fish don't come to us, then we'll just come to you!” - this is the new motto of many anglers. Almost every day they inform their fish in the pond about new attractive bait offers. “We combine this method with strategy number 1. At some point someone will take a bite.” Unfortunately, nature conservation authorities are making it more and more difficult to send the bait e-mails, which is why more and more sophisticated methods have to be used.

A story is told:

There are supposed to be some crazy angel researchers with an insane plan. They ask the fish how a bait should taste and examine the basic principles of the fish's sense of taste. These people have found out: fish prefer to eat the red and black bait with worms. If the worm also moves a little, it is most interesting. The automatic testing of the bait combinations couldn't find that out because no one had the idea.

Even crazier: some anglers are said to have gone over to not setting any bait in front of the fish at all. Instead, you feed them for free. “Our fish love us because we care for them and treat them well”, says one of the pioneers of this “newfangled method”.

"Hopefully the fish won't get any smarter", however, admits a representative of the bait industry his fears behind closed doors.

An end to the arms race between fishing and the bait industry is not in sight.

So the future of fishing remains exciting.
