How does Gramblr offer free Instagram likes

3 Top Apps for Using Instagram on Your PC

Instagram made it so difficult to use most of their features outside of their mobile app. It's not a problem when you're out and about, but it can be uncomfortable to be at home on your computer.

Fortunately, there are a number of third-party desktop apps out there that are better than the standard desktop website for using Instagram on your PC.

In this list, we take a look at three of the best desktop apps available and explain what their positives and negatives are. All downloads have been scanned with VirusTotal to ensure they are free of malware and spyware.

Gramblr is a free Instagram client that is built right into the Instagram API. You can download Gramblr from

This app can be a useful way to upload new photos and videos straight from your desktop, but it's also very powerful for increasing your followership and engagement thanks to a number of different tools.

We've looked at some of the top reasons Gramblr is one of the best desktop PC clients for Instagram.

Upload tools

One of the most powerful things about Gramblr is the built-in upload tools. You can use these to upload photos and videos directly to Instagram.

Before you hit the upload button, there are a number of steps you can take to edit your photo. These steps are similar to what you can find on the Instagram app. This includes adding a variety of Instagram filters and a selection of Gramblr-exclusive filters.

You also have more control over how your image looks thanks to the Sharpness, Saturation, Lighting, and Sharpness controls. It can be incredibly easy to give a fresh look to an image or to breathe life into an otherwise ugly photo.

After you've edited your photo, you can add a caption, add a location, insert hashtags, and then hit the "Post" button. Interestingly, you have the option to instantly add 60 likes from real users to your picture. More is explained below.

Schedule posts

There are many Instagram post schedulers out there, but almost all of them don't really automate the booking process. Instead, they slide the photo and caption onto your phone at some point and you have to upload it manually.

This is due to some restrictions that Instagram has put in place to prevent users from automating posts using third-party tools. Thankfully, that's not the case with Gramblr.

With Gramblr, the customer connects directly to the Instagram API to post images on your behalf. As long as the Gramblr client is active, all scheduled posts are automatically posted at the scheduled time.

Automatically wants to increase the follower count

Because of the Gramblr workaround, there are also a number of other automation tools that can be useful for growing your Instagram account. One such tool is a function similar to a car. This allows you to automatically target images on Instagram to attract new users' attention.

You can select photos with specific hashtags so that you are always targeted to a specific audience. Then you can press "auto-like" and as long as the Gramblr client is open, new posts will automatically be displayed to your profile.

Boost posts with likes

You are also able to improve any post you make on Gramblr. You get 60 free likes and regularly receive free coins that can be spent on more likes. You can also pay coins to get likes.

Gramblr claims these likes are from real users. All Gramblr users can win coins by liking those in the "earn coins" queue. If you like someone else's photo you will get 5 coins and you can add a like on your own photo for 10 coins.

Possible problems

Gramblr is a great Instagram client, but it doesn't come without its problems. First, the client rarely gets support or updates and the developer is very difficult to contact.

Second, the features Gramblr uses are technically against Instagram's Terms of Service, but since Gramblr goes straight through Instagram's API, the Auto Like, Post Scheduler, and Like Boost features are in a gray area.

There are some concerns as to whether using Gramblr's marketing tools could put too many restrictions on your account or ban it altogether. Hence, you should consider it before using.

Another downside to Gramblr is that it doesn't let you add stories or news users.

Windows Store Instagram App

Windows 10 now offers an Instagram app that incorporates many of the same features that the mobile application gives you. It's free to download and very easy. You can download it by visiting the Microsoft Store on your PC.

Since it's paired with Windows 10, notifications will appear on your screen and sent straight to your Action Center.

On the surface, the Windows Store Instagram app looks very similar to the mobile version.

Below we've given an overview of the Windows Store Instagram app and how it compares to the desktop website.

Overall layout

The overall layout for the Windows Store Instagram app is parallel to the mobile app. At the top, you have access to options to update, access your direct messages, and upload photos and videos to your story.

The stories can be seen underneath. You will then have a system tray at the bottom that can be used to access your home page, browse Instagram, view recent likes, and view your profile.

Add photos and videos

One of the main reasons the Windows Store app is better than the desktop website is because it has the option to add photos and videos. When visiting the desktop website, you will not be able to upload new posts.

With the Instagram app on Windows, you can easily add a new post by right-clicking the app icon in the system tray and clicking New post .

If you have a camera, you can take a photo or video with you, or you can click the icon Film reel Top drop down arrow to browse photos stored on PC.

Possible problems

For the most part, the Windows Instagram app is all you would ever need. The only concern is that the app can be quite slow at times. Pages take longer to load than accessing your phone.

Registration can also be a pain. Sometimes you can manage to exit the login screen - it just pauses after you've entered your password. When you get in, you will find the experience largely a reward.

Ramme is a lightweight desktop app that puts you in an experience practically identical to the Instagram iOS application. You can download ram from

There are a number of reasons why Ramme stands out when compared to the desktop version. First, all of the mobile app's features are there and right where you expect them to be. This includes photo uploads, stories, and direct messages.

In the following we have taken a look at the most important points that should be mentioned with ram.

Well optimized and light

With Ramme, all you need is the .exe file from the GitHub site and you're good to go. You don't have to go through an installer or visit the Windows Store like you do with Gramblr or the Windows Store app. This makes it easy to save or download Ramme to a USB stick for temporary use on a shared computer.

Ram is very light and smooth too, and you will rarely encounter performance issues.

It is also possible to resize the ram window on your desktop and everything on the screen will adjust to fill the window size without any hiccups.

Uploading pictures is easier

The upload process in the Windows Store app is a little strange and uploading images to the desktop website is not possible at all.

Ramme uses the same upload process as the mobile app. Just click the "+" icon below, then search Windows File Explorer to find a photo or video to upload.

Possible problems

We don't have a lot of bad things to say about Ramme as long as you sign up through an app that isn't officially endorsed or created by Instagram.

That concludes our look at the top 3 apps for Instagram on your PC. Which desktop app do you like best? If you're using any other app, please leave a comment below to let us know which one. Enjoy!
