You can return a pet to PetSmart


PetSmart offers a "no-stress" return policy for dissatisfied customers. Whether you accidentally bought the wrong item or your pet wouldn't eat the pet food, PetSmart will refund your purchase. Bring your pet food back to a PetSmart shop or send it in for a refund. Refunds can be made in cash, return cards, or credit on your credit card. To receive a refund, you must have the receipt for the product and it should not be more than 60 days from the date of purchase.

Step 1

Seal the container or bag to prevent food spillage if you have already opened it. The food must be left in its original packaging in order to be eligible for a return.

Bring the receipt to your nearest PetSmart store along with your meal.

Show these items and your credit card to the cashier if you paid for the item with one. The store will return the money to your card.

Step 4

Get money back if you paid for your meal with cash. Receive a return card for the original value if you bought the meal with a gift card or check. Alternatively, you will receive a cash refund at least 10 days from the date you purchased the food with a check.

Step 5

Return your item to PetSmart if there are no stores near you. Include your receipt and delivery note. You are responsible for all shipping costs. PetSmart recommends an insured and traceable shipping method.
