This is CS50x, Harvard University's introduction to the intellectual enterprise of computer science and the art of programming for majors and non-majors with or without prior programming experience. CS50x, an introductory course by David J. Malan, teaches students how to think algorithmically and solve problems efficiently. Topics include abstraction, algorithms, data structures, encapsulation, resource management, security, software development, and web development. Languages ​​include C, Python, SQL, and JavaScript, as well as CSS and HTML. Problems inspired by real world areas of biology, cryptography, finance, forensics and games. The on-campus version of the CS50x, CS50, is Harvard's largest course. Students who achieve a satisfactory score on 9 problems (i.e. programming tasks) and a final project are eligible for a certificate. This is a course at your own pace. You can take CS50x on your own schedule. HarvardX requires individuals who register for its edX courses to adhere to the provisions of the edX Code of Ethics. HarvardX will take appropriate corrective action in response to violations of the edX Code of Ethics, including dismissal from the HarvardX course. Revocation of all certificates received for the HarvardX course; or other legal remedies if circumstances warrant. No refunds will be given in the event of corrective action for such violations.
