What is the sales of eventful

Eventful year for Kramp

The Kramp Group can look back on an eventful 2018, as can be seen in the recently published annual report. Last year Kramp was able to generate sales of 822 million euros, the net profit amounted to 37.3 million euros.

"2018 was a year with many challenges for Kramp", says Eddie Perdok, CEO of the Kramp Group. The acquisitions of Raico in Italy and Recinsa in Spain were important strategic steps towards the future. "We are also proud that we have been able to consolidate and expand our partnerships with John Deere, Agco and Same Deutz-Fahr."

In addition to these positive developments, however, Kramp also had to contend with the effects of the cold weather in March and a dry, hot summer in combination with the challenges within the supply chain and internal processes. This had an impact on deliveries to customers and resulted in higher costs. Although sales fell short of expectations, they increased by 4 percent compared to the previous year.

The total investment in 2018 was around 25.9 million euros, 11.5 million euros of which was for IT and e-business. In addition, Kramp invested 5.5 million euros in the completion and commissioning of the new shuttle systems in Germany and the Netherlands. Further investments were made in the acquisition of land in Italy for the construction of a new distribution center, the completion of which is planned for 2020 and with which Kramp intends to further improve its customer service.

"We are looking positively towards the second half of 2019. Our internal processes are under control and we will use the advantages of our investments as well as acquisitions and partnerships to offer our specialist dealers the best possible service on the market," summarizes Eddie Perdok.
