Perella Weinberg Munich - Telephone interview (internship)

Good evening everyone,

I have a phone interview at PWP next week, which will take about an hour.
What kind of questions could the conversation include? More standard things like DCF, multiples etc. or more specific things?

Would be very grateful for some information / experiences.

Agree, would prefer PWP to some BBs here in Frankfurt - and not because of the location.

I would see PWP clearly in front of T3 BBs like Barc and UBS and would also rather opt for PWP for the T2s CS, Bofa, Citi. T1 (in DE) GS, JP, MS, (DB) I would still see quite clearly before PWP

There was also a lot of hype with the Zaoui brothers, everyone wanted to go there because of their track records.

What are case interviews? Where are case interviews carried out? How are they structured? The advisor from the management consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners provides interesting tips on preparing for case studies in consulting interviews.

Authenticity and a positive attitude are the basic requirements for a successful interview. But you can also prepare for the details in the interview. We'll show you how.

For many companies, the telephone interview is part of the pre-selection process for the job interview. Applicants have to convince within 20 to 60 minutes to be invited to a personal interview. The telephone interview should not be underestimated. The short, valuable time should be used to signal your own qualifications and motivation for the internship or the job.

Every applicant wants to appear confident and self-confident in an interview. Presenting your own skills authentically is essential when it comes to starting your professional life or taking an important step in your career. It is therefore worthwhile to find out how to train self-confidence.

Three out of four companies are currently conducting digital job interviews via video interviews. When it comes to a job interview via video conference, Microsoft Teams is the most widely used tool. Six out of ten companies rely on this software. Four in ten use Skype and one in three uses Zoom for the video interviews.

In an interview with Tagesspiegel, Thomas Belker, CEO of Talanx Service AG, spoke about Precire - a software that analyzes an applicant's personality in ten minutes. The algorithm can measure 42 dimensions of a personality. Talanx uses the software to select applicants for the Executive Board and the two management levels below, as well as for the further development of top management.

Clothes make the man. This is especially true in the application interview: with the right outfit you have better cards.

A good third of employers can tell within the first five minutes whether a candidate is a good fit for their company. 75 percent say that poor eye contact, too serious a look, and nervous fidgeting are the most common mistakes when it comes to body language.

In the job interview, it is important to convince the personnel decision maker that you are the ideal candidate. However, many applicants make the mistake of talking too little about their own skills and experience in the interview. This is shown by the current study by the personnel service provider Robert Half of 200 HR managers in Germany.
