Burnout syndrome is a state of severe emotional exhaustion with reduced performance. It is not uncommon for frustrating experiences to lead to disillusionment. Apathy, psychosomatic illness, and depression or aggressiveness. There is also an increased risk of substance addiction or other harmful behavior.

The feeling of "being burned out" can not only be felt by managers or people in social professions. It is also more and more common among schoolchildren, students, mothers, the unemployed or retirees. You can find more information in our article on Burnout Syndrome.

The following questions come from the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) by Kristensen, Borritz, Villadsen and Christensen (source). The questionnaire records the severity of burnout in the areas Personally, Work related and Client-centered.
