Google Photos saves all the pictures and videos you take with your Android smartphone. When Google's cloud service is full, you can simply delete unwanted files. But be careful: photos and videos that you delete from Google Photos are also automatically deleted from your smartphone!

Quick guide: smartphone app

  1. Open the Google Photos app and hold The item pressedto be deleted until the selection appears.
  2. Then tap the waste paper bin top right.
  3. Well go on that Three-line menu top left and select the entry "waste paper bin".
  4. Now empty the recycle bin so that the items in it do not take up any more space. To do this, tap on the Three point menu top right and then on "Empty the trash".

Quick start guide: Desktop

  1. Open the Google Photos website. Move your cursoron the element to be deleted and click on the hook top left to select it.
  2. Then click on the waste paper bin top right.
  3. After that, go to that Three-line menu top left and select "waste paper bin" out.
  4. Now empty the recycle bin so that the files it contains do not take up any more space. To do this, click on the button "Empty the trash" top right.
