Stiftung Warentest awards the best grade ever for a toothpaste to the blend-a-med 3DWhite Luxe Glamorous White toothpaste

Cleans top class and also ensures a more radiant smile: The blend-a-med 3DWhite Luxe Glamorous White toothpaste impresses with the overall rating "VERY GOOD" (1.1) and is therefore the winner in the current test run. [1] No other toothpaste was ever given a better rating in any other test by Stiftung Warentest.

The blend-a-med 3DWhite Luxe Glamorous White was awarded the mark "VERY GOOD" (1.1) for the first time by Stiftung Warentest. In the current test run 10/2020, a total of five whitening toothpastes were tested. "(...) blend-a-med 3D White Luxe Glamorous (...) and 3D White Vitalizing fresh (...) are very good," said the testers. "Everyone provides optimal protection against tooth decay". [2]

Concentrated power of whitening and caries protection

Based on the progressive whitening technology of the blend-a-med 3DWhite Luxe Glamorous White, the toothpaste is rewarded with top marks: in the categories "Caries prophylaxis with fluoride" and "Removal of discolouration", the toothpaste is at the top together with a competitor product . The testers gave the top grade "VERY GOOD" in each case. In this test run, Stiftung Warentest tested a total of two whitening toothpastes from blend-a-med. In addition to the Primus blend-a-med 3DWhite Luxe Glamorous White, the blend-a-med 3DWhite Vitalizing Fresh toothpaste also impressed with the overall rating "VERY GOOD" (1.2).

Whiter teeth in three days by removing surface discoloration

Developed in cooperation with scientists, the innovative whitening formula of the winner in the current test run removes up to 100 percent of the surface discoloration in just three days with the help of innovative micro-cleaning agents, thereby preventing future discoloration and protecting the tooth enamel at the same time. The blend-a-med whitening technology removes even stubborn surface discoloration, brings out natural teeth whitening, polishes the teeth and thus ensures a particularly radiant smile and whiter teeth. The refreshing mint taste also keeps your breath fresh for a long time.

The testers also impressed the testers with universal toothpastes: blend-a-med and Oral-B

In a second test, in which a total of 21 universal toothpastes were tested, the blend-a-med all-round protection Extra Fresh Clean toothpaste received the overall rating "GOOD" (1.6). In the same test, another product from the Procter & Gamble toothpaste portfolio was compared: the Oral-B gums & enamel PRO-REPAIR toothpaste received the overall rating "VERY GOOD" (1.3).

Stiftung Warentest shows: Caries protection in toothpastes can only really be proven with fluoride

In the accompanying article on the results of Stiftung Warentest, fluoride is also explicitly highlighted as the "most important ingredient to prevent tooth decay" [3]. Organic raw materials, which are mainly used by natural cosmetics manufacturers in their toothpastes, do not offer adequate protection against tooth decay. Such substances could inhibit bacteria, but "there are no (...) high-quality studies with them that prove caries inhibition in the oral cavity," said Professor Ulrich Schiffer, dentist at the University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf, who is quoted in the article. This is also proven by the current test in which out of a total of nine natural cosmetic products tested, a total of eight toothpastes with a natural cosmetic seal were rated "DEFECTIVE". Stiftung Warentest tested a total of 21 universal toothpastes in this test run.
