WHAT TO DO IF ONE OR MORE VIDEOS DO NOT PLAY?

The videos on prosieben.de can basically be played with all common browsers and also on iPad and iPhone. If you still have problems, your internet connection may not have the required bandwidth or it may be a short-term malfunction.

The video player on our website is independent of the Flash plug-in and is based on HTML5 technology. All modern browsers have integrated playback options. In the case of DRM-protected content (predominantly US license series), however, plugins must be activated or their use permitted.

  • On Google Chrome this is the "Widevine Content Decryption Module", which you should find under chrome: // plugins.
  • Mozilla Firefox has a help page on which the settings are explained: https://support.mozilla.org/de/kb/drm-inhalte-in-firefox-ansehen.
  • With Internet Explorer playback from browser version 11 is supported.

I GET A MESSAGE REGARDING DRM / HDCP IN THE VIDEOPLAYER - WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

For licensed programs (e.g. US series), the licensors prescribe protection of copyrights. This digital rights management (DRM) is integrated in our player.

Please note that your devices must consistently support DRM protection. For this it is necessary that all interfaces can implement the HDCP copy protection.

Please check whether your monitors, the graphics card of your computer / laptop, all connection cables and any sticks used are HDCP-capable. With older monitors, sometimes only one input can do this. As soon as a component cannot process the HDCP protection, the playback of our videos is not guaranteed.

With connections via VGA cables, the videos can generally not be played back. Older DVI or HDMI cables are also not suitable for transmitting protected content.

All modern browsers can usually be used to use our videos. Safari and Chrome should automatically implement the protected content. With Firefox, please make sure that DRM protection is activated in the settings. Only Internet Explorer 11 on the older Windows 7 operating system does not meet the technical specifications for copy protection.

As an alternative to our browser-based video offers on the website, you can also use our transmitter apps and the 7TV app. They are available free of charge for mobile devices (tablets and phones / Android and iOS), but also for many smart TVs.

WHY IS SOME CONTENT NOT SHOWED IN THE LIVESTREAM?

For licensing reasons, some content cannot be played via the live stream. For the same reason, our live stream cannot be accessed if you are in a non-German-speaking country.

WHY DO I NEED TO REGISTER? AND WHERE CAN I MANAGE MY REGISTRATION?

7Pass enables quick and convenient access to our entertainment world. With the free access you can, among other things, watch the TV livestream, access entire episodes or take part in exclusive competitions.

You can edit or delete your registration at any time on www.7Pass.de.
Please log in on the page at the top right using the "My Profile" button with your access data (email address and password).

If you want to delete your access, you will then find this function under "Personal data" at the bottom. Here you can also see which websites / services are currently connected to our central registration service and, if necessary, only deactivate individual registrations.

HOW DO I FIND VIDEOS ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC?

If you want to find videos on a topic that interests you on our site, there are various options:

The main menu item "Whole episodes" gives you an overview of all the online videos available on prosieben.de.

On the pages for individual programs, we list all available full episodes and clips of the respective program under the menu item "Videos".

Do specific research using the search: Enter a search term in the search field at the top right. In the search results, all videos from the prosieben.de offer that are tagged with this search term are displayed.

WHY CAN'T I SEE THE COMPLETE PROSIEBEN PROGRAM ONLINE?

There are legal reasons why not all programs are available online: We do not have the licenses for all TV programs to offer them online. However, the proportion of our TV programming that we can offer online is constantly growing.

WHY CAN'T I SEE IT COMPLETELY ON MOBILE DEVICES?

Some of our videos, especially licensed programs such as US series, are not activated for viewing on mobile devices (smartphones and tablets). There are legal reasons for this, as many licensors now differentiate very finely according to the possible usage and distribution channels.

That is why many videos are only possible via a PC, MAC or laptop with a fixed DSL connection.

With our 7TV app you can watch a lot of content on mobile devices and also follow our program via live TV stream.

HOW IS THE DIFFERENCE "WHOLE FOLLOW" AND "CLIPS"?

We refer to the recording of a complete program as a "whole episode". You can usually watch entire episodes for seven days - but in many cases for longer - free of charge on prosieben.de. "Clips" are excerpts from a program, for example individual articles from magazine programs or particularly interesting individual scenes. As a rule, clips are available indefinitely on prosieben.de.

WHEN ARE THE "WHOLE FOLLOWS" AND "CLIPS" POSTED ONLINE?

Whole episodes are usually available free of charge on our website for seven days after they have been broadcast on TV. In some cases, unfortunately, for technical reasons, we can only make the videos available with a certain delay. This applies, for example, to live broadcasts such as taff and Galileo or live shows.

HOW LONG CAN "WHOLE EPISODES" BE AVAILABLE ONLINE?

As a rule, all available full episodes can be accessed free of charge for seven days after the TV broadcast on prosieben.de. As a rule, we can even offer in-house productions indefinitely in the media library. Clips of the respective programs can also usually be viewed permanently after they have been broadcast on TV.

WHERE CAN I FIND (OLDER) SHIPMENTS? IS THERE AN ARCHIVE?

If there are videos available online for a TV format, then this format has its own "Videos" section. This section is also an archive where you can find the full episodes of the past seven days and all available clips. The "Complete episodes" tab in the main navigation leads to the archive for all formats offered.

I'M STAYING ABROAD. WHY CAN'T I WATCH THE VIDEOS?

As a rule, our online range of videos is limited to German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), and sometimes only to Germany. These restrictions are due to licensing reasons.
