How much storage space does Spotify have

Information about storage space

Spotify uses available space on your device for the following purposes:

  • To store temporary / fragmented versions of music for streaming (i.e., as a cache). This means that when you press “Play”, you will hear the music immediately and only with a few interruptions.
  • To save downloaded music when using the Listen to music without an internet connection feature (only for Spotify Premium).

Note: For optimal performance, your device should have at least 1 GB of free space.
