Who is the tallest model

Video: Meet the 206 cm tall Russian model with the longest legs in the world

Guinness World Records recently confirmed that Ekaterina Lisina from Russia is the new record holder for the Longest legs (women) is.

The legs of the model from Penza, Russia are unbeatable 132.8 cm (left leg) and 132.2 cm (right leg) long.

As required by the Guinness World Records guidelines, the measurement was taken from the heel to the top of the hip by independent professionals - a seamstress and a doctor.

Since the 29-year-old comes from a large family (her brother is 198 cm, her father 195 cm and her mother 185 cm), she always felt comfortable at home with her size.

However, she was teased at school. One reason Ekaterina's application to Guinness World Records is because she wants to be "an inspiration to girls who are not very confident".

Ekaterina struggles to find pants that fit her, and squeezing into airplane or car seats is very cumbersome for her. With shoe size 47 it is also problematic to find feminine shoes.

However, there are a few advantages to having the longest legs in the world:

"I can run much faster than other people", she states.

Her size also benefited her in her basketball career, a talent that is common in her family. She won a bronze medal for Russia in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Despite her athletic skills, Ekaterina always wanted to be a model. Eventually she gave up her basketball career to pursue her dream.

She's been working as a professional model for over a year now and on the occasion she has a second Guinness World Record title for the Largest professional model retracted.

It is exactly 205.16 cm tall.

"I am really happy to have the longest legs in the world", she reports during her visit to London last week.

"When I heard the news, I was in the car and almost got into an accident."

Ekaterina says it “feels amazing” to become a Guinness World Records record holder for not one but two record categories, and wishes she had applied for both sooner.

She loves the attention she gets because of her size and hopes the fact that she is the record holder adds to the positive response.

On the occasion of the publication of the Guinness World Records 2018 Edition we invited Ekaterina to our London headquarters for an interview, which was broadcast on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.

The longest leg record has now become a cult title in Guinness World Records history. The previous record holder Svetlana Pankratova (also from Russia) achieved over 15 million clicks on our YouTube channel.

At 132 cm, Svetlana's legs are slightly shorter than Ekaterina's.

You can find even more incredible records of the human body in the Guinness World Records 2018 Edition, which is now available in stores.
