Business decisions in the event of stagnation

Introduction

Science is committed to its cause; but it is carried by people. This can also be documented in a special form on special occasions. EOMuNo HEINEN, who made a significant contribution to the development of German business administration after the Second World War, turned 65 on May 18, 1984. For schoolchildren and friends, even beyond what is determined by good academic custom, this is an occasion on which they would like to express their grateful solidarity with the anniversary boy in a commemorative publication. EOMUNO HEINEN has made the development of decision-oriented business administration a central concern of its scientific work. As his immediate companions know only too well, this was always accompanied by a special interest in dealing with current issues. Those of his students, who are now professors of business administration themselves, wanted to take up both of these factors when choosing the main focus for this commemorative publication. For some years and for a long time to come, stagnation has posed a particular challenge, especially for economics. We have therefore chosen "Business decisions in the event of stagnation" as the general topic. Certainly this complex problem cannot be dealt with completely in a commemorative publication, and of course there is just as little in science as there is in politics uniform views on solution strategies. This is also evident in this book. But if it is at least possible to shed some light on some problem aspects and stimulate further research, then something will have been achieved.
