The Federal office of civil aviation released the draft rules of certification of a supersonic passenger aircraft and requirements for noise. Thanks to the new document, if it comes into force, developers will be able to obtain certificates types on their supersonic passenger planes and start their full-fledged flight tests. In January of this year it became knownthat the American startup Boom Supersonic concluded with a service company Flight Research agreement on the testing of demonstrator supersonic transport aircraft of the XB-1 in the Mojave desert. In particular, the service company will provide the flight XB-1 in a supersonic corridor over the Mojave with the support of the training aircraft T-38 Talon. Under the agreement, Flight Research will provide the Supersonic Boom your hangar for Parking of demonstrator XB-1 for the duration of the test.
