EHang creates in Seville the service of unmanned air taxi

EHang, the Chinese company had made with the authorities of the Spanish city Seville agreement on the development, organization, and development of unmanned air taxi service. As writes Flightglobal, under the agreement the city will create the infrastructure for service, send and receive unmanned aerial vehicles.

Today few companies in the world work for development of various manned and unmanned air taxi, and some countries have already concluded agreements on the development of passenger and freight transport through such devices. In particular, the air taxi service should appear in Canada and New Zealand.

Under the terms of the agreement with the government of Seville, EHang will develop an air taxi service on the basis of unmanned aerial vehicles EHang 216. Date of launching the air taxi service is not yet defined. The authorities of Seville announced that with the new service hopes to reduce ground traffic in the old town and historical areas.

Weight EHang 216 is 340 pounds. The device is designed to transport two people or loads weighing up to 260 kilograms. Electric air taxi capable of speeds of up to 150 kilometers per hour, and its flight range is 70 kilometers.

At the end of February 2020 the Chinese government of hezhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region held the doctrine to combat the epidemic of 2019 coronavirus-nCoV. During the training, the company performed two demonstration scenarios: the delivery of drugs to the hospital and transport the patient.
